Absolutely insane experience being chosen as a ball boy and being there for the last big all-in brawl in the sport. It was wild.
You could feel the tension in the rooms with the players before the game and there were whispers of it kicking off early… and within 4 minutes of the 2nd game of the series , it just EXPLODED! it was huge. The sound of bodies on bodies was deafening 👊🏻 it was crazy!
I did 3 State of Origins and 2 international tests over those few years and running out to 90,000 pumped up fans is a feeling I’ll never forget.
I felt the sport to try out motor racing after this (which worked out pretty well) but these memories stayed with me for life.
Acknowledge young kids, give them opportunities & it can really change lives.
