as the first out-and-proud Asian transmasculine actor on TV, i hope to bring representation to those like me, who rarely get to see people like themselves on screen. it is important to acknowledge progress of diversity in media within the last 10 years, however there still is a lack of queer API representation on TV. we must do better. i urge all filmmakers, studio executives, writers, directors etc to help my community tell our stories.
that’s why i joined the @GyopoSeries team as an executive producer to help bring queer Asian American stories to life, because i’m ready to create my own opportunities for myself and other AAPI artists. 🥰
