On May 22, the police arrested two individuals involved in an incident that occurred on New Year’s Eve. Numerous videos of the assailants at the event, along with phone records and social media posts, led the police to charge the suspects with felony vandalism and assault with a deadly weapon. Failing to prosecute these individuals would not only invite further offenses in Los Angeles but also undermine the efforts of the Police Department, who worked tirelessly to bring these charges forward.
