James Jude Courtney Instagram – Please join me in wishing a happy 90th birthday to my awesome mom, Katie. In addition to raising seven boys, she and my dad (on their own dime) raised 27 foster babies from birth until adoption; she sang New Year’s Day mass in the Vatican three times for two different popes and in cathedrals all over Europe; and for 25 years was an activist in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where they brought 50 kids a year, half Catholic, and half Protestant, here to the United States to do outward bound programming. She was even firebombed out of her lodgings in Belfast one summer. My dad served in the Army Airborne in the Korean War, and drove stock cars for years…my mom has bigger cojones!
