My best buddy in the world turns 12 today… Hard to fathom where the time has gone, it just continues to fly. Dylan is a wonder to behold-his heart, his smile, his laugh, and his talents are simply magical. He is an old soul, advanced well beyond his years. Even if he weren’t mine, I would have to say there is something extraordinary about this young man and I could not be more proud of him. The family got all dressed up for this year’s @missvolunteeramericapag! As always, we had a great time supporting @allisondemarcus and being part of this special event!
These two men meant the world to me. They were great examples of what strong, loving, hard working Fathers should be. They weren’t perfect by any means-but they were consistent and steady and I never doubted their love for me. They were tough and hard on me, and I am grateful for it and in my opinion we need more men like them in the world today. I miss them dearly-what I wouldn’t give for one more conversation, one more debate, one more hug… Perhaps the greatest joy though is knowing their legacy lives on-not only by me keeping them alive in heart but seeing glimpses of them in my own beautiful babies… Life has a funny way of taking from you to the point of almost breaking you, and then giving you unimaginable joy. The pain of their loss hits harder on Father’s Day, but I would do it ALL again for the chance to love like that. God bless all the Dads out there today and if you still have yours-hold onto them tight! #happyfathersday #dads #grateful
