Jeremy Wray Instagram – Checking on the jalapeño plants 🌱 and noticed some leaves were missing and some bites were taken out of the peppers 🧐… turns out there were 4 of these absolute monster caterpillars 🐛 having a field day out there! Looked into it and they are actually tomato hornworms and they can do damage quick! It says I should kill them on site, but my daughter loves these type of creatures, so I put them in our old lizard habitat instead so she could check them out and figure out what to do with them. She fed them more fresh leaves and now they have burrowed into the sand at the bottom. They turn into enormous hummingbird moths if all goes well. Glad to have them out of the garden and I still got a nice crop of jalapeños for fresh salsa 🌶️ | Posted on 28/Jun/2024 22:28:43
