Jeremy Wray Instagram – Hope everyone was able to enjoy Father’s Day with the people in your lives that you care about 🤞🏼! We got out for our annual Father’s Day Horseshoe tournament. My wife, Carissa’s cousin Maggie and I took it down this year 💪! We got to BBQ and swim after and all the Dads were well taken care of 🙏🏼! Big thank you to all the women in our lives 💘! Carissa and crew 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼! On another note, I saw that a few of my friends actually lost their own Fathers right before Father’s Day this year 💔! I know that must be a hard blow and an entire world changer. Nothing will ever be the same, but you will keep going and learn to adapt to what becomes the new normal. It doesn’t get talked about much, but I actually lost my Dad, Buck about 28 years ago. Unfortunately he took his own life, which added another layer to an already difficult time. When our parents split up, I was 7, so although I knew Buck well and was very close with him then, I feel like we still missed out on a lot of good years that we could have had together. Hopefully anyone losing their Dads later in life can at least feel grateful for all the extra time they got to spend with them. Father’s Day wasn’t a day that I remember getting celebrated or even really talked about for a while there in our family, but now that I’m a Dad, I get a chance to be there for my little ones, watch them grow, help them learn and spend lots of time with them. I’m not perfect but I do try to be the best Dad I can be. I couldn’t do it without @carissawray by my side, keeping this train on the tracks and always making sure we make it to the next stop on time 💘! | Posted on 19/Jun/2024 08:33:19
