Jimmy Rees Instagram – Today I received an OAM… 😱
Firstly what an honour. Never thought I this would be coming my way … you know the guy who talked to owls in his PJs and now making silly videos!! 😂 As much as this is a personal honour I have such an amazing group of people who are always in my corner. Namely my wife @torirees_ … always been my biggest supporter!!! In 2020 I stole all her scarves, headbands and glasses, put up a camera and started making vids and she didn’t bat an eyelid, she was right behind the new phase of my career at that time. Fast forward a few years and it’s turned into a little business… And my kids, they make all the business decisions 😂!! Also, my management, David and Grant, always looking out for fun exciting new opportunities and not being afraid of the new and different. There is a lot that goes on behind the curtain and they are always advocating for me. And finally to everyone who follows me, likes, comments, comes to my shows … it is all amazing and I thank you all for your support!!! And to the people who nominated and approved me, the Governor General, I’m not sure how the process works, thank you, I am very honoured!! 🏅👌
