Jon Simonassi Instagram – Animated some more stop-motion LIVE! This time at Future Proof by @24mm.collective held at @motorista.studio on June 7th. Shout out to @jonsimo, @thechrishau, & @robanzit for having me out.
Further refining the process of creating live-stop motion. I was able to animate 20 seconds through 3 hours – so pretty much capturing a frame every minute. Really positive vibe and had a ton of people interested in the process as I was animating.
I’m used to controlling EVERYTHING while producing stop-motion, but that’s not the case when doing it at an event. Had no idea I’d be shooting into the key light of another production set up, but it made it so much cooler. I had to roll with their changing light and striking the set at the end of the evening. Created the Polaroid flashes with a combination of a flashlight on set with overexposing for a few frames.
