綴子神社例大祭。
今年、ようやく参加できることになり、ふるさと観光大使としてやってきました。
本番は明日の昼なのですが、
前日の夕刻にも「宵宮」と称して行列が組まれ、祭は始まります。
行列の背後は小高い山。
暮れゆく中で、まるで森の中から妖精たちがでてくるよう
幻想的
まるでジブリの世界
そしてその後ろから、何かがやってくる。
多くの米農家や林業を営む方々が住むこの地には、
五穀豊穣を祈る
大きな大きな太鼓があるのです …つづく

The summer festival in this quiet region.
Tsuzureko Shrine’s Annual Festival.
This year, I finally got the chance to participate, and here I am.
The main event is tomorrow at noon, but the evening before, there’s a prelude called “Yoimiya,” where a procession forms and the festival begins.
Behind the procession is a gently sloping hill.
As dusk falls, it feels as if fairies are emerging from the forest.
It’s mystical.
It’s like a scene from a Studio Ghibli film.
And from behind, something is coming.
In this area, where many rice farmers and forestry workers live, there’s a large, large drum to pray for a bountiful harvest.
