Laganja Estranja Instagram – I just finished editing my #ADayInTheLifeOf NYC vlog (dropping July 9th), and I was forced to remember what a HAWT mess I was at the beginning of this year. I literally had a drink in my hand in every other shot. It broke my heart. I was so clearly hurting and only making it worse by drowning myself in liquor. But here I am, months later, sober and still trying. For those of you who don’t know, I have struggled with alcohol abuse most of my adult life. The longest I have been sober was three years. But now that I have FINALLY admitted to myself I am an alcoholic and there is no such thing as moderation for me, this time feels different. Sure, I’m realistic and realize a slip up is possible, but I’ve fought too hard to get to where I am today to let ANYTHING or ANYONE derail my journey. So thank you @iamchrxstopher for allowing me to celebrate sobriety alongside you on this SICKENING remix of your song “Sprite.” If we can change one person’s life with this bop and help them see sober IS sexy—it’s worth it. I want to be the representation I’ve so needed for all these years. So to all of my #BUDS struggling with any kind substance abuse, know that you are not alone.
