Lee Hsien Loong Instagram – Was looking forward to meeting @apple CEO Tim Cook today but unfortunately I’ve caught a flu bug and had to cry off (I tested negative for COVID-19 and am working from home, but am otherwise fine).
Apple is expanding their campus in Ang Mo Kio, which will create more jobs and spur innovation. Apple opened its first facility here over 40 years ago, manufacturing the Apple II series computers. I visited it in 1985, and later officiated the opening of their new building in 1988.
Glad that Singapore is now a regional hub for Apple, and home to three of their retail stores. I look forward to the completion of the expanded campus! – LHL
