Lee Hsien Loong Instagram – Last month, a fire broke out at a coffeeshop in Ang Mo Kio Ave 10. @myscdf and @singaporepoliceforce responded, put the fire out and evacuated the residents upstairs. Very fortunately no one was seriously injured, though the premises were heavily damaged.
These incidents remind us to be ready, and to know how to respond when the unexpected happens. At Teck Ghee’s Community Resilience Day, our grassroots leaders engaged residents and helped prepare them for situations – such as fires or medical emergencies. Glad to see many residents participating and learning useful skills. – LHL
