It’s been such a dream come true to be able to step on the Miss Universe stage since I was a little boy in a small province. I can clearly recall how I used to sneak in to my room, I would use my mom’s heels, my towel as my hair and blankets as my gown- imagining those were enough for me to strut my little room and scream my name and “Philippines!” in secret. 🇵🇭🙏🏽
20 or so years later, there I was, doing the exact same thing, but not in secret anymore. On stage. Full glam. Prouder. Braver.💯✨
Thank you @themissuniverseph for allowing me to heal and celebrate that inner child. Thank you Sir @jonasempire.ph and Sir @voltairetayag for letting me live out this dream for a lot of us. Thank you direk @robbycarmona , @karlangelrocks , @dgrind_jobel369 for allowing me to be part of the creative process from production, to the music and to the choreography. Thanks for involving me and making sure I have a voice during this entire process.
