Matthew Santoro Instagram – I’ve never posted a shirtless picture before, so believe me when I say it took a lot for me to do this. 69 days ago today I decided to get my health back on track. I struggled for 3 years with an unhealthy diet and overeating as a result of the trauma I dealt with during the pandemic years. I comforted myself with food instead of facing my demons. The picture on the left was taken on Feb 14th 2024 (Valentines day) when I was depressed and tired of life. After flip flopping for 3 years I decided to finally and permanently make a lifestyle change that would get me in the best shape of my life. Every day my schedule looks like this: wake up early and run 10K fasted (I worked up to this from 3-5K). Intermittent fast 16 hours a day from 9PM to 1PM. Stay on a calorie deficit. Drink a gallon (4L) of water a day. Hit the gym and lift weights at night. Get plenty of sleep. And today I finally started seeing significant results. So, why am I posting this even though I feel vulnerable? Because I know I’m not alone and there are a lot of people who are still handling trauma from the pandemic and maybe even from before. Please know you CAN do it. You CAN pull yourself out of hell, and you CAN better your life. I had several days – even weeks – of falling throughout this process where I ate junk, sometimes multiple days in a row. But I didn’t give up. CONSISTENCY. Just SHOW UP EVEN WHEN YOU DONT WANT TO. That’s the key. And one day you’ll wake up and say “wow. I did it”. Make today your day one.
PS: I’m not done! This is just 69 days into a whole new life. I’ll be 39 this year (in 3 months), and I intend on having a 6 pack for the first time in my life by that day! | Posted on 26/Apr/2024 04:20:08
