Michael Mann Instagram – Friday June 17th HEAT will screen in 4K at this year’s Tribeca Festival preceded by a conversation with myself, Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro and producer Art Linson, moderated by Bilge Ebiri. This will be the first public premiere of my 4K restoration of the film, and anticipates the release of the new 4K Ultra HD disc on August 9th. My novel HEAT 2 written with Meg Gardiner will also hit shelves August 9th. HEAT 2 tells an original story woven from the lives of the characters in HEAT, both before and after the events depicted in the film.
