Mike Birbiglia Instagram – The last four years of my life. In cards. I’m taking these down from the cork board and putting up a whole new set of jokes and stories for the 2024 podcast and tour. Thanks for joining me on this long, strange comedy journey. If you are reading this and just recently found me on Netflix with “The Old Man & The Pool” there’s a lot of catching up to do. Whenever I write these solo shows, they are a collaboration among a whole bunch of people, but with “The Old Man & The Pool” it really felt like we were *all* part of this thing. It was based on a theory that if I opened the window into the comedy process to everyone who listens to the podcast that in some way— we would all get more out of it instead of less. I think it worked? You can track the jokes from the first episode of Working It Out until the 100th episode and everything from 100 on will be what becomes the next show and the next special. (Currently on tour with that show) I could’ve never predicted this. Thanks for being a part of it.
