Most people don’t know where I came from.
I used to be a whole different person.
Afraid. Indecisive. Lost. Stuck.
But I had an ache.
An ache that said “There must be more”
I didn’t know where to start. No one around me shared this ache. There was no path.
Until I found travel. Adventure. Discomfort.
Through getting my hands dirty, And I mean it literally.
By walking barefoot in jungles, though people said I would “hurt my feet”. By crawling through dark caves when people said “bats have rabies”,
My skin calloused, my senses sharpened, my mind became clear. I knew why the tides changed; because I swam in them. I knew why the wind blew; because I rode in them. I knew why the trees grew tall; because I climbed them.
I’ve been travelling for a decade, and while I do not know everything, I do know this:
KNOWLEDGE IS THE ANTIDOTE TO FEAR.
We try and protect ourselves from our “dangerous” world, yet… We are creatures of this world.
It’s like a fish being afraid of the ocean.
How the hell is it ever going to feel free?
How the hell is it ever going to feel safe?
We made Tribal Rites in March of 2024.
And THIS is one of the things I’ve been most excited for.
