My name is Nico Kambasis – originally from Toronto, Canada. I started my martial arts journey at 13. At 14, I started competing and never looked back. Martial arts changed my life and has made me the man I am today. Learning self-defence and being a part of athletics was my main goal. The bonus is the lessons learned and culture that has transferred through to my whole life – work, school, relationships, etc…
At 21, I was able to make teaching a full-time career. Fighting/competing has been a passion of mine forever but more than that, I fell in love with the coaching side of the profession. I love being able to give back to people and share what I was blessed to discover at such an early age. I truly believe martial arts, at the right facility, and with the right coaches, can change your life for the better – mentally, physically, and spiritually. Being part of something bigger than ourselves is deeply embedded in our MMA DNA. The community and camaraderie you build in this sport, the work ethic, the technique, the respect, the discipline… it’s priceless!
