Morgan Freeman Instagram – Our film, Mutiny (1999), portrays the tragic events that resulted in an unfair court-martial of the 1944 Port Chicago 50. In 1999, Freddie Meeks, one of the few survivors alive at the time, received a pardon from President Bill Clinton after Meeks started a 9 yr personal campaign to get himself cleared and Clinton learned of the film from @MorganFreeman and me. Last week (80 yrs after the tragedy), the Port Chicago 50 along with 206 other black servicemen were finally exonerated by the @USNavy. None of the men were alive to see this day.
