Nick Slater Instagram – My goal for the GC Half was to nose-breathe the entire race 👃🏼 I lasted 20km’s.

Here’s what I learnt:

– I was calm. Nose breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which helped make training and the run a more mindful experience 🧘🏼‍♂️

– Nose breathing while training helped me get fit. This is because breathing through the nose increases the production of nitric oxide, which helps dilate blood vessels, improving blood flow and oxygen delivery to muscles.

I didn’t quite hit my goal BUT felt pretty zen for most of the race. Are you a fan?
