It feels good to have conversations again about the expansiveness of identity. I am no expert; I am a teller of stories. I’m working on finding my next acting gig and getting back on television. This has been the longest I haven’t been on set since I was 19, and I miss it more than anything. My entire relationship to community has always depended on my work. This time between jobs feels lonelier. And also, I’ve gotten to spend almost every single day with my wife and daughter, which is time I will never take for granted. These have been some of the greatest days of my life. The industry is messy right now, more difficult to navigate. It has always been a reflection of our world and now feels especially complicated. But, we must prevail. Over the last couple of months, I have made some major shifts. I have an entirely new team and network of support. I feel seen and represented in ways like never before.
I love you. Thank you for showing up and being invested. Sometimes the world of social media can feel pointless, an empty void of loud information. But y’all continue to lift me up. I’m working on more ways we can stay connected. Just felt like sharing some thoughts and posting these pictures I took before a self-tape audition yesterday.
