This was the year I released a book and (somehow) it became an LA Times/USA Today bestseller (thanks for buying)… taught a new generation the dangers of handling a salmon suspiciously (thanks for watching). Learned that the only pub in my local village I’m not barred from has closed down (thanks for closing). And that I lost my amazing, silly, and dearly missed Uncle Jimmy (thanks for everything, James Black). Thanks for all your support and patience.
