Lo que importa es que buena parte de nosotros estamos equivocados… eso que sentimos no es depresión… es pura y simple ladilla… güeba… aburrimiento… y todo es porque no encontramos cosas que hacer para salirnos de la rutina… Te invito a hacerlo… haz lo que hago yo ahora… lo que me trajo por fin paz… Que me levanto todos los días con la intención de reír. De obligarme a ser feliz. Me levanto agradeciendo el sol, su luz, la vida que respira el paisaje, las aves y las plantas. Yo me levantaba a buscar mi lugar en el planeta… y ese fue mi error. Mi lugar no está en parte alguna del planeta. Mi lugar esta dentro de mí. Mi lugar soy yo. Y yo soy mi lugar. ¿Difícil? Claro que es difícil. Es una búsqueda permanente y en carne viva. Sin apoyos ni distracciones. Sin desvirtuar la búsqueda o entretenerla con bebidas o drogas. Es pura y seca búsqueda. Pero la compensación vale el esfuerzo. Llegar allí y sentirte. Respirarte y aunque las sensaciones externas estén allí y sepas que seguirán estando por un buen rato, encontrarte es la garantía de que se irán… de hecho cuando quieras notarlo… ya se fueron… ya no estarán… porque estas en el único lugar seguro de tu ser… ¡En ti! ou
UN POCO MÁS… Muchos son los errores que contaré. Pero ojalá se consiga hacer acopio de logros y aciertos, que no fueron menos. Me atrevería a decir que muchos más. Es importante que en este relato de mi vida tengamos presente, amigo lector, que de mi capacidad de hurgar en su historia, depende la salvación de estos relatos. Que de la imagen de mí, que logre, dependerá quedar colocado frente a mi mejor futuro. Al que realmente me corresponde y del cual me aparté y me apartaron. Yo, por negarme el éxito. Y el resto, porque a casi todos molesta el éxito ajeno. Un hábito por cierto muy lejos de mi actitud general, al menos, hasta hace pocos años cuando me descubrí egoísta. Envidioso, resentido. Y aunque inicié un trabajo serio y duro contra ello, no ha sido fácil. Nunca y especialmente un dia como hoy, cuando mi visión interior sabe amarga. Me viene como una tarea obligada. Indeseada y a la que renunciaría inmediatamente, si no hubiera sido tan firme el compromiso. Se cumplirán las metas a la fuerza, mientras deba ser a la fuerza. Pronto se ira disipando este sentido de lastre y dará paso a un trabajo placentero. Desestresante. Emancipador. Gratificante. Esperemos llegue pronto esta parte… Cuatro ventiladores velan mi sueño. Colocados en las cuatro esquinas de la cama, parecen cirios mortuorios. Esto cuando estoy deprimido. Si el humor esta bien, imagino que acabo de inventar la cama voladora. Un cuatrimotor personal que me puede llevar a todas partes mientras voy plácidamente recostado o tecleando en mi laptop. Es una vida que recién ahora comienzo a recibir con agrado. Aceptando contento el estatus como una realidad que, de tan bizarra, raya en la fantasía. En la magia. Descubro las tiendas “Me $alvé” con sus pantalones cortos para el verano, en todos los colores, a $2. Franelas a $1 y también hay 3 X $2. Es maravillosos este mundo. Y no es que yo viniera del Principado de Monaco, pero nunca antes había caído tan bajo. Aqui me detengo y me reprendo. No por lo despectiva de la expresión hacia quienes solo existen tan bajo. Por el menosprecio de mi extraordinaria vida presente. Llena de novedades. ou

An example of this is his “scribbles” project, which, in a quick, spontaneous manner and without commitment to space and time, captures the totality of his understanding of artistic expression. Recalling the words of Friedrich Nietzsche in “Thus Spoke Zarathustra,” who proclaimed, “One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star. I tell you: you still have chaos in you!”, we can see how Orlando embodies this philosophy. His ability to materialize the feeling of human existence and his skill in totalizing his vision through his “scribbles” are a testament to this transcendence. These photographs, taken by me, seek to capture the internal dynamics and creative process of Orlando. The faces, expressions, lines, and circles reflect the strength of these images. My objective as an artist and creator was to understand Orlando and capture him in a photograph, thus achieving a portrait of how Orlando Urdaneta’s creativity functions.
