Paul Reubens Instagram – For her partner Tom’s birthday, Heather went above and beyond to transform their living room into Pee-wee’s Playhouse! This surprise “Pee-wee Party” was complete with handmade props and a personalized Cameo message from Paul Reubens himself!
“My partner, Tom, and I are lifelong fans of Pee-wee and Pee-wee was EXTREMELY influential in Tom’s life. ‘Pee-Wee’s Playhouse’ allowed Tom to feel like he was accepted since he didn’t really fit in growing up. The weird and wonderful world of Pee-wee really spoke to him and let him know it was okay to be different. For Tom’s 39th birthday, I surprised him with a ‘Pee-wee Party.’ I spent months building props to transform our living room into Pee-wee’s Playhouse that friends helped me set up the day of the surprise.”
“In addition, I bought a Cameo from Paul Reubens for the special day and Paul made it so magical by really personalizing the video and spending an entire 8 minutes talking directly to Tom. What an incredible human being he was!”
