Rankin Instagram – Blow Up was really the first pivotal piece of work I did and still stays with me even today. It was a fashion supplement for @Dazed, and the idea was to create a portrait of nightlife at that time by taking pictures of clubbers at nights all over London. In many ways, this was the first iteration of my RankinLIVE project, where I photograph the public, not models or celebrities.
