For almost a decade, I’ve tried everything under the sun. ☀️ All the puns completely intended. Especially in the summer, I literally look like I’ve been playing in the mud. Which is certainly fun but not when you can’t get it off. 😜. From laser treatments to peels to topical ointments to serums to taking sunscreen pills – I’ve done it. And gotten results that last for maybe a month. And whether you make your living in front of a camera or not – it can be psychologically difficult.
I’m so grateful to have found @iskinmedspa and the amazing @imeeong.m and @richard_maghanoy . From Imee educating me in the causes of melasma to the final results of clear, bright skin that lasts – I was impeccably taken care of by Imee and her staff. Loving these results! Imee explained that we need to not just maintain but help it along by closing up the dermal layers so the melanin cannot rise to the surface with a thread lift. Then doing a rosy peel to help the current skin that is affected and finally maintenance with a combination brightening cream that contains hydroquinone. Nothing has ever worked this well for me.
Posting this especially for the dudes who are embarrassed or afraid to mention it or feel like they cannot do something about it. You can look good and feel good about yourself. We need skin care too!
