Sanjay Gupta Instagram – Today, @u.s.surgeongeneral declared gun violence an urgent public health crisis – it’s a reality in our country that was made too vivid for me when I visited Rocklin Elementary school. There, I saw third graders learning something I never would have imagined as a father, a journalist or a trauma surgeon – they are being taught how to pack a gunshot wound, learning how to “stop the bleed.” Sadly, this has become the new “stop, drop and roll” for our children.
