Steve Vai Instagram – I came across this clip of an ok performance on the Hydra from our last Inviolate Tour in India.
It’s a shame the audio is not so good.
Whoever was doing the lights that night used strobes in the chorus of the song. Although that might be the perfect place to use strobes in the song, I have to stay hyper focused and the strobes made the Hydra look like drop-frame video. That’s not a good thing.
You can see me point to the strobes and yell “No strobes!!!” Good thing they heard me.
