I’m so distraught over the tragedy at President Trump’s rally yesterday. I’m relieved he is safe and will pray at Mass today for his recovery and for the families who lost loved ones. I will also pray for our country—that we reject violence in deed, word and thought. Leaders need to step up and show that we can treat all with respect.
I’m deeply concerned by this situation and am praying for President Trump and everyone at today’s event.
Temperatures are the hottest on record (so far, as this Simpsons meme would cleverly note)—we have to do everything we can to combat climate change so that these record years don’t keep happening again and again.
Today, I had coffee with State Senator Stella Pekarsky and Delegate Karrie Delaney in Chantilly to hear about what’s happening in their communities. We had some great discussions—and I’m excited to take their thoughts, concerns, and conversations with constituents back to the U.S. Senate.
I was so happy to join Democrats in the Shenandoah Valley today to meet with members of the community and chat about the issues that matter to them in this election. Thanks for coming out—let’s do all that we can to win this November!

This morning, Gloria Witt and I met with Dems and business owners in Danville before stopping by Uncle Al’s for lunch. Working together alongside this community, I’ve been proud to deliver a lot of wins for Danville’s economy—but there’s still more to be done.

I’m grateful to David Ramadan for inviting me to sit down with Northern Virginia business leaders in Chantilly to chat about how we make sure Virginia’s economy is thriving for everyone. I’m doing all I can in the Senate to reduce costs for Virginians and help families get ahead, stay ahead, and thrive.

Today I was in Emporia to hear firsthand from Virginia families. Throughout this campaign, Virginians have brought up their concerns and aspirations—and I’m focused on bringing those back to the Senate with me.

Pastries are always an incredible start to the morning—thank you to the @vademocrats disAbility Caucus for having me in Franklin today to talk about the stakes of this election and how I can help support Virginians with disabilities.

I’m so happy to be at the 7th Annual Interfaith Eid al-Adha Celebration with the @arlingtondems, @arlingtonyoungdems, and others. Virginia is a melting pot full of many faiths, and it’s more important than ever that we stand against those who would tear us down.

I ended my day at the SOVA Innovation Hub in South Boston. This economic center and innovation hub is a huge deal and an example of the types of economic opportunities we’ve got to be creating for Virginians. Thanks to the Halifax Dems for hosting me here!
