I met Bill through my Designing a Legacy project, and filming the story of how he commissioned Robin Boyd to design his Sydney home was an absolute pleasure.
I was very fond of him and always learned something new from him during our chats.
I’ll never forget the warm embrace we shared after the premiere screening of the film at the Sydney Opera House, and the scratchy feel of his sports jacket.
His life was truly remarkable – a Robin Boyd-designed home, an E-Type Jag, a beautiful family, a skilful surgeon- he pioneering knee replacements, and even managed to meet Elon Musk!
Rest well, mate.
