Todrick Hall Instagram – How 2024 started vs How it’s going half way through the year. In 2022 I was contracted to headline San Diego Pride, under different management, and because of false allegations it was taken away from me…I was devastated. This year I got the contract again and once it was announced there were several upset people. I bit my tongue, kept pushing on.
Internet allegations whether true or false can frighten promoters and full transparency I had two confirmed offers for prides pull out because they were just too afraid of potential back lash. I did not let it stop me, I kept pushing forward…team toddy has no time to look back. This year I was convinced I wouldn’t headline a single pride and I guess I was kind of right. I headlined 5 pride events: Miami, Hampton Roads, San Diego, London meltdown & St. Louis! Thank you to my booking team @leftofcenter_productions and my incredible manager @caryn.sterling for keeping my team and I positive, inspired and booked.
Thx to my incredibly hard working team. This year has been so eventful. So far I’ve headlined 5 big festivals, composed two musicals, Put out 4 albums, 4 music videos and Tonight I opened my third musical of the year! I am posting this not to be arrogant but to just say I’m proud of my crew, my team and myself for turning the boat around…we’re not all the way back to square one, but we are not giving these haters who want to believe these false allegations energy. We are busy working and continuing to inspire people with our GIFTS.
Let’s see what the second half of 2024 brings. Thank you San Diego Pride for having us, for believing in my team and I and for giving me the opportunity to grow and evolve as a human being and an artist. I’ve made many mistakes, we all have and I’m so excited to keep growing, keep going and believing that my gift is unmatched and if I bet on it every single time it’ll never let me down.
