Tom Büdgen Instagram – Upon my return to the independent scene one of the first companies to message me was PWG, now when we used to work PWG we were used to the American Legion, a place that had seen some of the absolute craziest matches, hidden gems of wrestling and some of the most intense wrestling fans I’ve ever had the pleasure competing in front of.
With the American Legion being no more they found the Globe Theater in LA. A historic and beautiful venue that was worlds apart from the run down, but characteristic American Legion. I remember the first time I walked in, the first thing on the mic I said was “well, this is a nice building.” And the OG PWG fans immediately understood what I meant, nonetheless the atmosphere in the Globe was incredible, same fans, same energy and same die hard locker-room wanting to proof their worth in the heavyweight that was PWG.
Despite brief appearances it is the birthplace of the Kings Of The Black Throne and in it’s own way The House Of Black. Hearing the Globe Theatre is closing their doors is sad to hear. 2 incredible venues for PWG, so I’m sure wherever PWG will plant it’s roots next will bring the same excitement and die hard mentally. | Posted on 16/Nov/2023 02:50:50
