Yovska Instagram – THIS DOG LOVES CELEBRATING PRIDE
…is what we WISH we could say for Janice, the 2-year-1-month old American bulldog mix and our resident Pride Dog. Unfortunately, Janice was stuck in the shelter during Toronto’s Pride celebrations… so we brought some of the Pride celebration to her!
Janice is the first dog of our DogsTO campaign, an adoption campaign aimed at getting these dogs out of the shelter – so they can experience some summer fun that Toronto has to offer! Janice has big dreams of seeing The Village; visiting a few of the local hotspots and checking out Toronto’s drag scene. While we think Janice’s plan of clubbing may be a bit too ambitious, we could still arrange a meet & greet with her favorite drag performer! @Yovska “the ultimate drag plushie” was gracious enough to visit our North shelter to give Janice a Pride celebration of her own. So while it’s not a visit to the village, we think editing her into a few Church street photos will help the illusion.
Of course, Janice’s ULTIMATE dream would be to be adopted to experience summer for herself! She doesn’t need Pride parades or ultimate drag plushies – long walks and “regular” plushies would do her just fine! And to help get Janice (along with all our other dogs) adopted and into that summer sun ASAP, we’ve reduced our dog adoption amount to just $50.
