Story time… Members of 1 of the hottest groups of the 90’s @jodeci began to experience personal troubles – and 1 day they called me to help. I had not had experience with substance abuse or stroke victims but as a sister and as a fan of their work my soul dove in. I told them I could not want their better more than they did and if they were ready to work, I would commit. We let the world watch on a @BET show called COME CLEAN with KCi and JoJo and now years later- I have the honor to watch them KILL this #LasVegas residency. @kcihailey i could not be more proud of you. Gotta throw back to the amazing day of service the #AJAKUAREBIRTHRETREAT and #D9UnityAfrica had at VILLAGE OF HOPE ORPHANAGE GHANA.
The orphanage houses kids 12-18 from off the street and broken homes -teaching them lifestyle- career skills to help them thrive when they leave. @kdada2 and I created @THEBRIDGETOBETTER and #D9UnityAfrica with the intention Of bridging and helping Africa when and however we can. In collaboration with @diasporaaffairs.ghana @queennad_5b we are making smiles brighter lives richer. Amen 😝🙌🏾🙏🏾🥲🇬🇭
I always start my new year and birthday with these kids 🥰🙌🏾🎂and now the annual retreat is my time to share the joy I get from these amazing souls.
We started 2023 in service on purpose with purpose because I believe that if you “do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, such sacrifices are pleasing to God” Hebrews 13:16? So we begin with new bunk beds for their dorms!!😮😝
I don’t know who had more fun -the kids or us -😝🙌🏾🤣 but 1 thing I know for sure? We are confirmed that Love wins! 🥰🙏🏾
