We wanted to take today to honor our incredible ORGANIC distillery, Casa de Piedra in Jalisco, MX, and more importantly our farm owners, Jacinto Zenudo and his daughter Paula Zenudo.
During our last trip to Jalisco, Jacinto (translated by @tequila.partners CEO Vinicio Estrada) told us why he even began farming organically to begin with.
Organic agave farming is a massively difficult, multi-year task that requires much commitment and love, but Jacinto developed an organic farming technique that allowed him to integrate with the local environment and wildlife. The Zenudos have even integrated a giant reservoir at the farm that is open to their entire community for extinguishing large local fires.
