Y’all, it’s an incredible take on the show through a queer lens & encapsulated in the global phenomenon that is Ballroom! I can’t imagine this show any other way now.
It was so fresh and authentic! The creative team’s goal (per the playbill notes) was to honor the shows musical theatre roots and the legacy and culture of ballroom in the same breath. I think they’ve done exactly that!! ‘Innovation’ is a perfect word for this production💜 The cast is 🔥🔥🔥
