Bojana Novaković Instagram – The amazing local resistance @gordana_jelisavcic_ @cvetko.jovanovic.37 @marsskolubare and other local groups and residents in a small Serbian town called Valjevo just sabotaged mining giant @lifeatriotinto‘a attempt to present their proposed Jadar Project lithium mine to the local residents. The mine is planned for an area 80km away but Rio Tinto has become a traveling across Serbia presenting unadvertised propaganda panels in an effort to convince what they think is an uneducated population to accept mining as a solution to the climate crisis. Our people are smart, determined and will protect this land at any cost. I’m so proud of my friends and the courage of these locals. We do not accept dialogue about “facts” because there are no two sides when it comes to occupiers and the occupied. There is no decision to be made between fertile soil, food, water or mines. You’re not welcome here. #MarsSaDrine
