60-70% of California’s kids don’t read at grade level by third grade. Statistically, those kids are exponentially more likely to end up homeless or in jail.
Meanwhile, we are arguing about banning books our kids can’t even read.
Let’s stop the distractions and focus on these foundational issues first.
