Dawn Butler Instagram – I spoke in support of @mpkimjohnson Joint Enterprise (Significant Contribution) Bill. Joint Enterprise has been wrongly interpreted by judges for 30 years and @jengba_ have been doing a lot of great work on the injustices of joint enterprise. 15 years ago my constituent Mr Davis spent two months in prison due to Joint Enterprise. His crime was being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It has had a devastating impact on his and his families lives. If you are Black you are: 1️⃣6️⃣ times more likely to be charged under Join Enterprise 8️⃣ times more likely to be stopped and searched if you are Black. 5️⃣ times more likely to die in police custody.
