It may look a little similar to a recent Apple ad you’ve seen which – as you know – was highly criticized.
As much attention as that Apple video received, this response video from the @HeatInitiative deserves much more attention as it’s calling on Apple to do 3 major things to protect our children.
The 3 things heat initiative is asking Apple to do is:
1) Let kids report abuse: Create easily accessible reporting in iMessage for kids and parents to report inappropriate images and harmful situations.
2) Require safer apps: Monitor the App Store to ensure exploitative and dangerous apps are unavailable to children and that only age-appropriate apps are advertised to kids.
3) Stop the spread of child sexual abuse: Stop the storage and spread of known child sexual abuse images and videos in iCloud.
