Such incredible artists had us lifting our voices and jamming like nobodies business! It was a truly uplifting experience. Especially in these days when there are so many that are actively committed to trying to erase the truth of our American history and the extraordinary contribution African Americans have made to it. Our Ingenuity. Our Excellence. Our Creativity. Our Sacrifice. Our Willingness to Show Grace – even to those who minimize and attack us. Our Resilience. I could go on and on and on…but Juneteenth reminds us to never accept the audacity of a mindset that willingly withheld the information for two years, that slavery had been abolished, to hundred of thousands of people!
