Diana Maria Riva Instagram – To say this was a humbling experience would be an understatement. As co-founders of @latinasactingup , Lisa Vidal and I were included in this year’s list of Honorees to receive a Latino Spirit Award from the Ca. Latino Legislative Caucus for Achievement in Advocacy and Entertainment. It was an honor to be in the same room with fellow Honorees that included, the first Latina Surgeon General, Migrant Farm workers who’ve created mass changes through advocacy, award-winning writers, Best selling author, Artist activist, an Astronaut, and several other Latines making an impactful difference in our community and our country. Our stories may differ, but our resilience and commitment to see change fuels the same spirit. Thank you @asmcervantes for shining this light and inspiring us to stay the course.
