When @mykalcushnie @iamdonisha @kelissamcdonald landed in Kenya on our documentary/research journey @50daysinafrika Jahmby was one of the names that kept coming up as a voice for Reggae in Africa. Her love for Reggae made her into a house hold name in Kenya and many other countries. As a DJ and sound system selector, she helped to preserve and spread the positive vibrations, the mission and the music. A strong voice advocate for the people and the culture that helped the people to heal, build community and dance together. Queen Jahmby had a different kind of love for Reggae music and Jamaican culture, more than words could describe.
Love you sis. May your light continue to shine bright and defiant for the people. We remember your spirit and will continue sharing your stories with the world.
