Elissa Slotkin Instagram – We’re so fortunate to have several organizations in our district working to end sexual assault & domestic violence, while providing hope & healing to survivors. I recently had the chance to visit SafeCenter, which supports survivors in Clinton & Shiawassee counties.
Thank you to the team for showing me around & for your work to protect & advocate for victims of interpersonal violence – especially amid an uptick in reports since COVID. And with resources limited in rural areas, they’re also feeling the effects of a rise in homelessness.
Working together at every level of government is the only way to turn the tide, and it was inspiring to see how much of an impact a small group of passionate, mission-oriented people can have on a wide area of need. | Posted on 22/Feb/2024 23:16:34
