Emma Barnett Instagram – Read all about it! In the Evening Standard! I’ve wanted to say that since we started mapping London through our local colouring books last September. And here we are. With our story. Local paper; local stories. That’s exactly what we are about @colouryourstreets – and as the journalist @katie__strick picked up upon – I am the endless tourist and this new project has meant I now have an excuse to drag the family to a new area, cemetery, city or museum most weekends. I was doing it anyway and now we can capture it.
Also I love the fact that the other star in this interview were the backdrops: our local South London jewels of @brockwell_park and @brockwell_lido – both in one of our first local colouring books: Colour In…Herne Hill. The park I have walked every inch of during lockdowns and 2 maternity leaves. The lido- I am still too chicken to swim in. But the luckily the cafe lets me watch everyone else with a decent sarnie.
We also talk running a family business, the impact on our relationship with where we live post Covid and how much I love the fact, that try as I can, I can never “finish” London. Link to the piece in stories.
