THIS IS THE JEWISH SPIRIT. A few months ago I met the powerful and beautiful @noambd. Noam was shot by Hamas jihadists at the Nova festival and lost her boyfriend David and many of her close friends. When Hamas attacked the music festival Noam hid in a trash bin with 15 of her friends. Only three of them survived. Noam hid underneath a pile of bloodied bodies until she was saved by the IDF. I met Noam at a rehabilitation center. She was in a wheelchair as she told me her story and at the end she promised me that “we will dance again”. I was floored by her authenticity, strength and resiliency. I told her right there and then, that she will get better and we will go dancing. And so we did. THIS is the Jewish spirit. This is the source of our resiliency. Diamonds are created under pressure. And throughout history, periodically, the Jews have been under tremendous pressure. As we are now. It is extremely difficult to be a Jew these days. But here we are. Dancing again. My father was the most charming, charismatic, funny, kind and loving soul. He traveled the world, spoke 7 languages and always had a book going.. his smile actually lit up a room, and if you met him just even once you would never forget him.
