Georgina Reilly Instagram – Sometimes we think, “Oh, if I had started sooner” or “ If I hadn’t made that choice” or “I regret not doing this or doing that. “ “I’m too old now.” “I can’t just start over” etc etc.
I think all the choices I’ve made led me to all the best things. I think of the best friendships I would have missed out on if I had turned left instead of right.
If I had booked that job I wanted so badly, I wouldnt have booked the one that took me to Newfoundland, where I would meet MOB. So maybe I was right all along…
I dont believe in fate, or a fixed future, I think we create our future through the decisions we make, and I trust myself that each decision is or was the best one at that time.
Sure looking back I may see some things differently and I wouldn’t do the same things now. Its good to change your mind, to not look at something as regretful but more that you have improved upon yourself.
Life is a game of choices. Some days you move forward 3 steps and some days you hit a snake and fall 10, but you’re still on the board getting to play.
Change in life and constantly bettering oneself are crucial for survival, crucial in improving your situations in life.
Fixed ideas or stuck ways of thinking, doing and being eventually do just that, keep you fixed or stuck. It doesn’t make you wrong to try something new. New adventures. New friends. New thoughts. New ideas. New education. New jobs.
I guess I just don’t regret anything. I can change and I look forward to the choices I get to make tomorrow. Big and small. Pizza or salad ? Maybe I’ll make a new friend at the pizza place ?
Anyways…
