I made Stewed Carrots in Harissa and Maple Syrup… and Asian Inspired Cabbage Salad, the favorite recipe of hostage Alexander Lobanov. A nature lover — a sea lover — Alexander is an avid Jeep tour enthusiast and volunteers at the Yedidim Association. Alex met his wife Michal a decade ago when he was a cook and she was a waitress at a restaurant in Ashkelon. A sweet love story blossomed. Their family grew with the arrival of their two-year-old son, Tom, and most recently, baby Kai.
