Life as shown in @abangadikthemovie -we know it’s there and happens but we ignore. Malaysia is a good place for social mobility but THE PEOPLE WHO CAN MAKE CHANGE IGNORE!!! The skillfully acute framing and captures by Kartik included the stench in the spaces they lived and worked. The diaspora of characters- I thank you, every one of you left an impression on me, from the terrified foreign workers to the quietly camp neighbour who’s love for the 2 brothers just left such an impact on me, the fear, the fear, the fear of the unknown, of being caught, and discarded, of not existing. the purest love between abang and adik was heart wrenching.
